Important Terminal Shift Notice for Air India Flights at Delhi Airport!

Operations at Delhi Airport which will come into effect starting on 26 th October 2025. 

• As of this date, all Air India domestic flights with flight numbers starting with AI1XXX will now operate from Terminal 2 (T2).
• Moreover, all Air India Express domestic flights will transition from Terminal 3 (T3) to Terminal 1 (T1). 
• In addition, the remaining Air India flights, including international flights as well as domestic flights not starting AI1XXX, will continue to operate from Terminal 3 (T3). 

Terminal Transfer Procedures for Through Checked-In Passengers!

If passengers have through-checked luggage & need to pass between terminals for their connecting flights, please follow the instructions below – 

From Terminal	To Terminal	Instructions
T3 → T1	Air India Express connections	Proceed to the Bus Lounge at Arrival Hall Forecourt, collect a shuttle pass, then take the inter-terminal shuttle bus to Terminal 1 for boarding.
T3 → T2	AI1XXX flight connections	Terminals 3 & 2 are within walking distance. Buggy service is available if assistance is needed.
T1 → T3	Connections to Terminal 3 departures	Use the inter-terminal shuttle bus to reach Terminal 3.
T2 → T3	Connections to Terminal 3 departures	Walking access is available between terminals, & buggy service is provided if required.

NOTE – At Terminal 3, passengers must complete Security & Immigration formalities before boarding their connecting flights.

Check-in Timings for Air India and Air India Express!

• Air India Domestic Flights (Terminal 2) – Check-in counters open 2.5 hours before the scheduled departure time.
• Air India International Flights (Terminal 3) – Check-in counters open 4 hours before the scheduled departure time.
• Air India Express Flights (Terminal 1) – Check-in counters open 3 hours before the scheduled departure time.
