  1. Rhonda Kayll says:

We are travelling to Melbourne from Brisbane early December and my husband has a 4 wheel walker can you tell me does this equipment go with our luggage and what steps we need to take. The reason I am asking you is that I cannot get any response from any other areas at Qantas….so frustrating

    1. Heena Ganotra says:

      Hello Rhonda,

We understand the frustration you’ve experienced in trying to get this information. Your husband’s 4-wheel walker is considered mobility equipment and Qantas typically accommodate such equipment. If your walking frame is collapsible and cabin crew can stow it safely, it can also be stowed in the aircraft cabin. For safety reasons, non-collapsible walking frames can’t be taken into the aircraft cabin. But, be sure to pre-notify the airline about the walker. They will guide you on the specific procedures and requirements for transporting it as part of your luggage.

And, on the day of your flight, arrive at the airport a little earlier than usual to allow for any additional time required to process the walker. You can also review Qantas’ policies on mobility equipment, baggage allowances, and any associated fees on its official website, if applicable.

We hope this helps resolve your query and ensures a smoother travel experience for you and your husband. If you have any further travel-related queries or concerns, do let us know. We’ll help you with the perfect solution. 🙂

      Warm Regards,
      Team MyTicketsToIndia
